Best Party:
- Gilbert (original), with Sniper. Free damage buff from his Blood Power, steady supply of Link Bursts.
- Livie (original), with Sniper. Free Revive and always-useful Support Skill.
- Nana (original).
- Ciel (alternate), with Sniper.
- Kanon (original), with Sniper. Queen of DPO.
- Tatsumi (alternate).
- Nana (original): free max Health and Firm Stand, good Personals, and aggro control from her Blood Power. Damage Cut is about all she needs to round out the set. Also, as NG, she can Link Burst you.
- Soma (original): mostly same defensive set as Nana. His choice of Blood Arts is a little questionable, due to the AI. No aggro control or Link Bursts.
- Ciel (alternate): free max Health and Firm Stand. Her Personals aren't particularly great though, and the Shotgun is not good for survivability.
- Brendan (alternate): good defensive skill set, but a really questionable BA.
- Livie (alter): I know you said «keep out VS users», but there's only two of them (though technically they're the same person), and both are really good for different reasons. But for tankiness, the Alt is better than the original due to some excellent BA-skillset synergy.
Ciel, Livie and Gil;
Double heals + def/atk buff, 1 instant full health recovery from death to whole squad, insane damage buffs and transfer bursts from Gil.
Ciel, Julius, Nana;
Instant rank 1-2 bursts, heals+ def/atk and enemy drawn to you.
Gina, Kanon, Karel;
Nuke the living potato out of those flying sariels + heals.
